Sparking employability, placemaking and new economy projects across Plymouth and beyond

Work with emerging creative talent
IGNITE provides an opportunity for businesses and organisations to search for emerging creative talent and develop meaningful industry collaborations.
Launched in July 2020, the IGNITE website acts as a hub to connect talent from the two leading universities with Plymouth's creative community, industry and the public to spark productivity and employment. More than 400 final year students completed a profile and submitted highlights of their work for you to search and connect.
Emerging creative talent to showcase their personal profiles and portfolios to generate full-time, freelance, residency and collaborative opportunities
The digital, virtual,
e-commerce driven world is more important now than ever before
We can adopt new methods to enhance the student experience, drive graduate retention, employer engagement, support self-employment and showcase emerging talent across Plymouth and beyond.
We recognised the need to present graduates more effectively with professional profiles, give them the best chance possible to be found online, connect them with relevant individuals and organisations in the public and private sector, match them to enquiries and support them with project management.
Industry and individuals to search for the right creative talent to solve problems, transform businesses and provide solutions to complex social issues
Partnership opportunities
IGNITE acts both as the emerging talent arm of University of Plymouth's The Bridge Initiative and as extension of the collaborative opportunities that Arts University Plymouth offers through its employability and careers team and funded projects in Fab Lab Plymouth.
Our experience of showcasing skills and knowledge available through Plymouth's leading institutions, local and national practitioners, managing our own community events and partnerships, means we are perfectly placed to work with businesses and organisations looking to develop meaningful industry collaborations to ignite employment and economic growth.
