BA (Hons) Interior Decoration, Design and Styling
I am enthusiastic, hard-working, ambitious and thrive at the chance of learning new skills. I engage in extensive research, then interlace this knowledge within the brief to demonstrate both resourcefulness and aspiration. I always work quickly but thoroughly so I can get the task I have been given carried out in a professional and efficient manner. I am a gregarious person, who enjoys working alongside others, both with colleagues and clientele. I boast both drive and creativity along with a detailed approach to design, always bringing determination and passion to any project. I have developed my skills within interior design and styling, emphasising colour, surface and ambience in a range of environments - from domestic spaces to residential homes. Utilising my skills within AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop and other Adobe software to create 3D and render visuals to allow the client to visualize the space before production. Combining my knowledge of research, client relationship and visualisation techniques, I am able to deliver successful solutions to any brief.
Research and Experimentation Buidéal House | Oct 2020 - Feb 2021 As part of the RSA competition, I designed a theoretical modern-day house built out of Ecobricks. I designed both the exterior and interior of the home. My brief was to design a show home for the modern-day couple who are environmentally aware. I focused on finding FF&E products that were both environmentally friendly and that were from the local area so that the home was not just sustainably friendly but was also supporting the local economy if it were to be built. Project Manager Design Core Southwest | Oct 2019- Jun 2020 Designed, managed and run by Interior Design students at Plymouth College of Art. I worked with three other managers to plan, design, market and execute this public-facing interior design exhibition based in Plymouth. With determination, flexibility and a sense of humour, I ran this trade show diligently up to the sad cancellation due to Covid-19.
