Bethany Davies is a Fashion Illustrator and Designer from Middlesbrough, UK. Inspired by Fashion, Music, TV and film from different countries and eras; her work is colourful, feminine and rather glamorous. She works predominantly digitally, but incorporates traditional methods of ink drawing and watercolour for her own textures and patterns. I design prints and patterns for my own fashion collections, as well as illustrations of glamorous long legged ladies with claw like hands. Recently i’ve been interested in combining the more obvious gentle and pretty fairytale-esque themes of femininity with subjects slightly more sinister, as seen in my recent project, a fashion collection inspired by Suspiria 1997. The collection has a combination of romantic silhouettes with ruffles and puffy sleeves in girlish shades of pink as well as more sharp structured pieces in black and lace-a nod to the secret witches in the movie.
