Plymouth College of Art
Interior Decoration, Design & Styling
As an Interior Designer my passion is to create unique and imaginative spaces offering clients schemes which are both exciting and engaging. I like to put the client and users at the forefront of each design addressing their needs and embracing their ideas in an innovative way. I incorporate high quality materials into my designs which are not only sustainable and environmentally friendly but which also appeal to the senses. Since it is known that buildings and their interiors can affect our health, I feel that it is important to consider wellbeing as a key factor within my design schemes. Proficient in the use of a wide range of design software, I recognise the importance of producing design schemes which are technically clear and detailed. As appropriate, I include elements from my broader skill set within projects including photography, styling and graphic design. Overall, my aim is to create inspirational designs which are both practical and memorable.

As a team working collaboratively, we were required to re-imagine a dynamic new space for the current Topshop flagship store on Oxford Street, to benefit the local community of residents and workers and entice visitors from further afield. Sustainability, employment, youth appeal and biophilic design were all considerations. We were pleased to receive a placement by the judges.
