Plymouth College of Art
I have an interest in Kawaii culture which is things that look 'lovely', 'loveable', 'cute', or 'adorable' it is seen as the culture of cuteness in Japan and has a sense of positivity attached to it, as well as cartoons and my own childhood nostalgia. I find a lot of comfort in looking back and helps me ground myself to see where I'm heading as I struggle to create things that aren’t a combination of bits that already exist. From this I enjoy making things that align with that, and don’t take themselves too seriously. My art reflects this, it is what it is, I’m a maker, nothing more. My pieces don’t have a higher meaning to them.
