Interior Decoration, Design and Styling
Hello, I'm Charlotte. I am a creative, adaptable and organised individual with the ability to meet briefs to a high standard and tight deadline. I am extremely passionate about environmental health and rebuilding the design industry to create a more environmentally friendly and sustainable future for both the planet and design. Whilst studying in the Ocean City, I have gained a passion and understanding for the need for sustainable living and environmentally friendly design, as well as being inspired to ensure that my designs positively impact all of my clients. This has allowed me to fuse together creativity with my design morals to create designs that are ethically balanced in both design style and substance. I have a more theatrical design style that works alongside my beliefs that design can play an important part in educating and engaging people with key issues such as plastic pollution and environmental health. As I am a keen theatre goer, my university course has allowed me to explore how interior design is closely linked to set design giving me a unique approach to my briefs. The physical elements and form of set design often underpin the way I approach my designs by integrating, expanding, and regenerating existing techniques and creativity based on an educational and key design morals, all being realised within my final project, Swimming in Plastic: The Reality. Other student projects include, The Extinction Hotel; ‘We’re All Mad Here’ Theatre Production; and The Asos Office Project, that all demonstrate my interest in creating an immersive and unique experience whilst consciously designing with the environment in mind.
I have experience in both set design and interior design, with a professional outlook on all aspects of creativity and a great eye for detail. I have a keen will to learn and produce excellent quality work for either; screen, stage or a client. I have great customer service skills and can provide a high level of team and client satisfaction. I am looking for an entry level graduate position with an inspiring design team, to further my knowledge.
