Biography
I am a surface pattern and printed textiles designer graduating this year, I enjoy screen-printing and mark making to create my designs. My favourite kind of patterns to create art for interiors, as this is what inspires me most. I mostly collect my inspiration from nature, this includes colours and initial drawings. I start the designing process by drawings before turning them into prints. I find the mixing process interesting; this includes both hand generated processes as well as digital. My inspirations usually come from nature such as flora and fauna, with my last project centring around coral bleaching
Industry Experience
During my time at university I have taken part in multiple live briefs such as Brume, where I created interior wall stickers. British ceramic tile, in which the task was to create an innovative tile design. And finally Frugi where I designed pyjama sets for children. Throughout my time at Plymouth College of Art I have learnt many new and innovative easy to create patterns, such as mixed media collage and heat transfer printing. In addition to this the use of the dye lab has given me a better knowledge of colour mixing and fabric dying, which has shaped how I produce my colours for design.
