Interior Decoration, Design and Styling
Hi I’m Emma, a passionate interior designer who’s love for design stems from colour, print and pattern and their ability to transform interiors. The power a designer has to evoke emotions based purely on spatial design fascinates me. Being bold within design and unafraid to push limits is my approach to interiors, exploring scale, composition and finishes to make environments sing. My portfolio features projects in the commercial and residential sectors, including restaurant, hotel and workplace design, as well as developing textile ranges. I love to draw, paint and translate artistic works into surface patterns to enhance my interiors, my surface patterns add personal flare to any project and a cohesive, collective design nature.
Whilst studying I have taken part in competitions and completed various experience placements. Including; award winning at the BIID Student Interior Design Challenge, here I participated alongside a team of colleges to design a waste-free supermarket, placing second overall. Working as a styling assistant on an episode of DIY SOS, working closely with the interior designers to style and put together the living room, kitchen and bedrooms. I have also worked with design company Goddard Littlefair as a design intern. Here I experienced working with high end designers, creating concept boards, sourcing products, ordering samples and carrying out site visits.
