University of Plymouth
I'm an artist, I work mainly in pencil and paint. In my third year of university I have concentrated upon editorial illustrations in p0olitics and the environment. I have been drawing since a young age and over the last 10 years, especially the last 6 years I have taken my passion for art a lot further. I studied a foundation degree at South Devon college and then continued on to my BA at Plymouth University. It has been a wonderful experience and I have gained valuable knowledge about illustration and what goes in to becoming a successful illustrator. Art has always had a place in my life and over the last few years I have realised how important it is to me continue with it.
I have a BA in illustration art. I have worked with the universities magazine as in house illustrator. This was a great experience and gave me good knowledge of what goes in to becoming an illustrator for a magazine. Covering varying modules in university has given me a wide depth of knowledge about not only practising art but theoretical concepts. For the last 10 years I have taught drawing workshops to people of varying skills, this helped me to not only keep my focus on art but to further my own projects, whilst talking about art all day!
