Through my own personal experiences I look towards using emotional experimentation to influence my projects, and how I can tackle them through a variety of mediums. A large part of my design language is adding a hidden or deceptive meaning into the project that, through time the user comes to discover by their own means. I want every onlooker to take a different perspective away from my work, in the hopes that it will help both them and myself to understand the range of emotions that can come from one piece.
I have spent 3 year at Plymouth University studying 3D Design
This project aimed to highlight Child Loss and PCOS.
This image shows one of the six stages that can be experience when there are difficulties in having children, and the loss that can come with it. It also comes with my own diagnosis of PCOS and some of the things that I felt during this time.
Micro Living Unit in Outer Space
This project explored how different micro living units could be used in a variety of different environments.
Through this project I looked at the way that a micro living unit could be put into outer space. I looked at the different shapes that would be fitting to the harsh environment and this was the resulting outcome.
This project looked at the practice of steam bending.
Through this I learnt the practice of steam bending and the ways that wood can be manipulated into a product. I evaluated the way in which the wood could work in combination with metal and light. This light looks at the way shadows are created within the steam bent form.
Block Design Necklace and Terrarium
For this project we worked with Block Design and created a range based off of their ethos.
Through this project I used a colour scheme that would complement the natural colours within a terrarium garden. I found that combining both a harsher material, such as concrete that the necklace is made out of, and a natural material, such as pants made for a product range, that both contrasted and complemented each other.
The milkshake candles explored the consumer market and how a product can be sold.
Through this project I looked at the consumer market and the items that people loved to buy. During this I found that many people were buying candles, and from this I came my decision to make milkshake candles. A mixture of different scents for the main body with a vanilla 'cream' on top with a straw in it made the perfect milkshake candle.
