'Sans Titre' interpreted from an illustration by Georges de Feure, c.1900
I have interpreted an illustration by French artist Georges de Feure titled ‘Sans titre’. I have chosen this artwork because of the visual detailing of art nouveau motifs. I wanted to bring this artwork to bring this artwork to life as it was never intended to be created as a physical garment. I aimed to achieve a period accurate shape showing the style of Belle Époque fashion mixing it with more modern techniques and fabric. Through my interpretation I have used this opportunity to explore different mediums in creating the design on the dress and skirt. I challenged myself by silk painting the design on the skirt as I felt that this was the best way to capture the colours and motifs seen in the illustration while also accurately capturing the style of work from the art nouveau movement.

Costume for the character of 'King Duncan' for the production of 'Macbeth' by the Actors Wheel
I created this costume for the character of King Duncan for a BA production of Macbeth. The costume was designed by Jacqueline Slade, and was set in a post-apocalyptic, dystopian society. The coat is based off a medieval surcoat with the eagle design being appliqued and sewn on. The bird feathers was created by laser cutting various sized feathers out of different fabrics to add depth to the bird.

Costume for the character of 'Fae Contes' for the 'Carnival of Curiousities'
I created this costume for the character 'Fae Contes', a captured fairy that was put on display in the 'Carnival of Curiosities'. This character was inspired by a vase that can be found in the National Gallery Victoria online collection. From the vase I took inspiration of the colours, patterns and motifs that can be seen on the vase. The date and origin of the vase also reflects the style of coat that I made which is a late 18th century court coat.

Science Fiction Romance Perfume Advertisement
We were tasked to create an a perfume advertisement alongside Digital Media students. As a team we had to create costumes based on a genre, style, movement and sound as well as set time period. Our advertisement genre was romance with science fiction style, this is were we came up with a story of an astronaut and alien lovers. We also had to incorporate post modernism elements with the sound style being Hip-Hop. The style of dress was based from the 1660s and the base fabric had to be either white or cream and the application of colour had to come from a different material such as paint, markers, thread or other mediums.
