Costume Production and Associated Crafts
I am a soon-to-be graduate from Plymouth College of Art, completing my degree in Costume Production and Associated Crafts. My main areas of knowledge and passions are science-fiction and fantasy, and I hope to one day work within these types of genres. I am primarily a designer and prop maker but have experience and knowledge in making, breaking down, embroidery and embellishing.
Hair and Makeup Artist - Plymouth College of Art (2019-2021) - Designed and applied makeup looks for multiple briefs working with a range of designers and models with the intention of enhancing garments and supporting the overall look of the photoshoot. - Styled hair, wigs and headdresses to enhance garments and support overall look. Model and Costume Designer - Plymouth College of Art (2020) Collaborated with a media team to make a mock perfume advertisement. This included: - Working with a group of costume designers to produce a set of costumes that created a harmonious look. - Design, production and preparation of one of the costumes. - Assisting the production team with the construction and creative vision for the production. - Modelling one of the outfits as part of the final video. Costume designer - Illuminate, Festival of Light, Plymouth (2019) - Designed and produced an Edwardian costume that was used as a backdrop for part of the light show. - Worked as part of a team of designers to create a comprehensive theme. Stylist - Plymouth College of Art and Illuminate (2018-2021) - Organising and styling models, costumes and props. - Steaming and ironing garments to ensure a professional finish. - Working with a number of photographers to produce the best possible outcome for the shoot. - Organising studio timings for all involved.
