Biography
I am a final year designer maker who is currently studying 3D design at the University of Plymouth and will graduate in September 2021. I have a passion for woodworking and enjoy creating batches of high-quality handcrafted products. This is what I hope to be able to do as a job in the future. As well as woodworking I also enjoy making ceramics and metalwork. I try my hardest to make the products I design as sustainable as possible as I feel we as designers have a responsibility to do so.
Industry Experience
During my three years studying at University of Plymouth I have gained experience working with timber, ceramics, and metal. Most of my time has been spent learning woodworking skills and techniques as this is what I am most passionate about. Alongside practical work I have spent time developing my skills using a range of Adobe programs and computer aided design programmes such as Fusion 360 and Rhinoceros 3D.
I have experience working with an external client due to the safety communications module I completed where I worked closely alongside the RNLI. This gave very good insight into the industry and taught me new skills. As well as external clients I have also worked on live projects with Illuminate Plymouth and design challenges.
