Lauren is an emerging textile designer specialising in hand printing processes and fabric development skills. She has a passion for working with silks and light weight materials and approaches projects with a minimalistic and delicate aesthetic. Her current collection is called 'Nature's healing.' ‘Natures Healing’ is a collection of luxury printed fabrics intended for a high end fashion market. Inspired by the concept of forest medicine, this collection’s visual stimulus is focused on texture and pattern found within nature's healing elements. Screen printing techniques, silk painting and fabric manipulation have been used to capture the contrasting, abstract surfaces by layering and utilising resist methods and dyes to develop pattern.
