University of Plymouth
The main aspect I aim to focus on within all the products I design and make, is ensuring that they do not negatively affect the environment, and as a result having a positive impact on the environment. This could be either regarding the materials or the processes I choose to use. Where possible, I aim to educate others through my design and products, if it be regarding the materials used and how they have been sourced, or how the product is packaged and used. I am excited to learn new techniques and I am motivated to push myself to become a better designer maker, growing and learning off other people more experienced than myself.
Studying 3D design at both school and university has given me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of materials and processes, including wood, metal, ceramics and glass. I have also made my own paper made from locally sourced recycled cardboard and paper, which I later used to design my own packaging to contain and sell the products I make. I enjoy learning new techniques and processes to further develop my designer skill set, helping me to create more diverse products.
