Commercial Photography in Fashion, Advertising and Editorial
My name is Niall O’Connor, and I would like to consider myself a confident, motivated, and passionate creative. On my journey of creativity, I have found myself striving toward the fashion editorial industry with the intention of producing content that showcases the reality of art; creating a product that resembles an attitude. The sense of realism that the editorial imagery projects helps a viewer understand the subject, their characteristics, and the elements that generate their personality. I have a passion for music, fashion, and street culture, which assist in heavily influencing my creativity, with photography being a pretty cool outlet to showcase this.
During my time as an undergraduate, I found myself building a network with small, independent start-up brands aligning themselves with the streetwear fashion scene. I worked closely with a brand entitled 'QDWA', promoting their first collection of garments that were striving toward achieving an aura of encouraging a sense of individuality. I have also found myself collaborating with 'Heaven & Mud', a mountain bike inspired clothing with a hint of streetwear mixed within the designs to introduce a fashionable outlook on the products. The team wanted to promote their designs with a slick, editorial style, showcasing the brand, and what the future of the collective entails.
