As a designer, I have a keen interest in a sustainable and circular design and the right materials which have a low impact on the environment; whilst understanding the systems in place surrounding the project.
2015+ - Exmouth Watersports - I am currently a SI (senior instructor) at Exmouth watersports, where I teach windsurfing and paddle boarding. Also, as part of my role, I train up new instructors and manage the team.
2018 - Addfield - I undertook work experience where I worked with the marketing team and the design engineering team. With the marketing team, I worked with them designing their stall for an incinerator convention in Germany. And with the design engineering team, I worked with the team drawing up their cladding for a new incinerator in solid-works.
The main goal of this project was to find a new use for wool that would increase its value of it, the outcome woolymer. woolymer is a plastic and wool composite that can be manufactured using traditional manufacturing processes. The composite material boasts strength and lightness over standard moulded plastic.
3D Printed Fan - A fan designed to be 3D printed, looking into open source manufacturing and how it can aid in a Lower carbon foot print by reducing the size of the parcels we ship.
TØRR - Dry Bag
100% recyclable dry bag - The dry bag is created completely from R-PET using sustainable cutting edge technologies to waterproof it whilst it is still being able to be mechanically recycled.
