Biography
Seran’s work is connected to her experiences as a black female creator, exploring themes surrounding empowerment, hair, identity, repetition and culture. She works across traditional and digital mediums, to create Afrofuturistic inspired images that embrace the majesty that is black power in all its forms.
Industry Experience
2017
Participated in ‘Tate Exchange - Factory Settings’ an open experiment in which PCA proposed, designed and ran workshops encouraging the public the disrupt the system
2019
Work was included in university exhibitions; Dis-place and Curiosity
Developed and completed a live brief for the Elizabethan House in Plymouth as well as Mount Edgcumbe. ‘Art @ Edgcumbe’ concluded with a summer long exhibition with work displayed in the formal gardens
Lead a slip casting team, batch producing cups to be sold at Crafts Festival Bovey Tracey to fundraising money for the course
Volunteered at Whitegold Festival, St Austell
