Biography
I am currently studyng at the University of Plymouth studying 3D Design and currently specializing in Spatial and Interior Design.
Throughout my time at The University of Plymouth, I have discovered my love for designing interior spaces that are human-centred and create a connection with our emotion through our senses. I have explored this by creating spaces that are visually stimulating through lighting and colour, spaces that are interactive and spaces that show a range of tactile materials. I am proficient in softwares such as Adobe Photoshop and Indesign which could be also used within the graphic design sector. Post-graduation I would love to work with a company that enables me to use my creative and technical skills within interior or graphic design. I am eager to learn more about design and where my expertise would fit in. Eventually I would love to own my own interior design business.
Industry Experience
I have had experience at Conran Design Group in London. Here I was working with the graphic designers who were designing packing for products on softwares such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign. This gave me a greater insight into the corporate world of design. It helped see how design companies work in a professional environment; talking to some of the employees meant I could gain more knowledge in what kind of tasks they would do on a day to day basis.
Concept Corporate Interiors in High Wycombe. Here I was working with the interior designers. I was able to grasp more of an understanding within the types of software’s they use, such as AutoCAD and Revitt, and the importance of customer satisfaction.
UPP Ltd to help design new common rooms for Swansea University. Again this was an interior design role. This was a very successful project for me as they wanted to use some of my designs. Again, this process has taught me how to work with clients and how to create visuals that will appeal to them.
