Textiles and Surface Pattern Design
I am a textile and surface pattern designer with a reflective approach to design. Incorporating colour, textile shades and layering. My work varies from large scale pieces to more detailed pieces. I like to explore preconceptions of established mediums such as collage to create new and innovative designs and patterns. with a background in digital design, screen printing and sublimation. I bring a playful and inquisitive approach to my work. My collection 'Tropical Wonderland' focuses on the concept of escapism where we have less personal freedom and limited ability to travel. The collection is designed for outdoor furnishings bringing a holiday feel to social spaces with the use of playful bold patterns and exotic colour creating a fun and uplifting collection. I am also the owner of Sukha clay designs, I like to use my knowledge of colour to create interesting patterns through polymer clay.
