University of Plymouth
BA (Hons) Filmmaking
As a recent University of Plymouth BA(Hons) Filmmaking graduate, and former Royal Navy Engineer I feel I have garnered a versatile and unique skill set thus far. My degree studies covered the entire film production process, from pre-production all the way through to editing and distribution via social media marketing campaigns. This gave me a strong foundation of organisational and practical skills which I have already put to use working as a camera operator for Shield Media, and assistant at TwoFour Media. I have experience editing, researching and operating a camera creatively. I am proficient across a range of programmes in the Adobe Creative Suite, and operating Panasonic and Canon professional cameras. I have knowledge of online media distribution and marketing, utilizing it for the social media page I created and ran, CineBoxin, the online distribution platform for my final year film. I have worked collaboratively and independently on multiple projects in and outside of my university course modules, managing to work on a professional film set at 3 Mills Studio in London as a Lighting Assistant. I have always tried to push my technical capabilities, gaining a certified drone pilots license whilst in my 2nd year of studies. I have desires of one day becoming a Self-Shooting DP in documentaries and I am now excited to put what I have learned into practice and start a career in the media industry.
