I am a ceramicist, maker and designer whose work examines interpretations and the contradictions of the inner self. I am exploring and highlighting the differences between an idealised view of life and the uglier reality influenced by external relationships and events. I want to tap into fragmented memories of what has gone before and try to make them real in the present. My artistic practice is driven by process, method and technique, and I am constantly seeking ways of portraying this in my work, aiming to engage the viewer through questioning of materials, and pursuits of perfection.
